There are many reasons why a blogger shouldn't lie to the audiences. Getting money from the sponsors, while writing so positive towards the brands can be the red flag in a lot of cases; 1) It sounds toooo good to be true 2) Yea, you must get the money to write this. The fans may be ok with it, but in some cases, they may feel as if they are reading the review that sounds a bit too much. As a result, we might lose the followers due to this dishonesty. Speaking as a fashion blogger myself, I do not want anybody to think that whatever I write is a bias. Getting money for the work is one thing, while writing sincerely is a different story.
"HONESTY IS IMPORTANT" BECAUSE THE AUDIENCES WANT TO KNOW THE REAL RESULT OF THE PRODUCT BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE DECISION
Occasionally, I also do the beauty product review. And I state both positive and negative comments toward each item. What I always want for my audiences is the 'truth' However, there are a lot of the reviews I came across, that sound a bit fishy. There's the money involved I get it, but if the fans buy after reading such review, yet get the opposite result from what it says...it will obviously look bad for both brand and blogger. There were some brands on Instagram reached out to me and asked me to post the product photos with the caption provided. To be honest, I was tempted to do it because 1) they said they would re-post my Instagram on their page 2) the products sounded great indeed! To be able to get featured on the Instagram with more than 100K followers is good for the exposure, who wouldn't want that? However, I felt as if I was a liar. First, I wouldn't even use whatever they gave to me. Second, there were more than 50 or maybe more influencers who posted the same content with similar positive captions. So, if I involved myself in the loop, my followers would think I was one of those who got sponsored to post like that. There are so many temptations in the industry, including numbers of fans, brand collaboration, social media exposure, but at the end of the day, to be disconnected from my audiences is the last thing on earth I want it to happen.
AUDIENCES WILL NEVER BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SAY ANYMORE
As a result from the above, the audiences might think that whatever you post later is a sponsor post. I am one of the fans of many fashion bloggers out there, and that is how I feel. I don't know about you, but I tend to lose trust when I notice the 'ready' content. Maybe it is good for the brand exposure, but the people who support you will never trust your content anymore.
การเป็นแฟชั่นบล็อกเกอร์ก้ไม่ได้หมายความว่าจะต้องเขียนรีวีวสินค้าในแง่บวกเสมอไปเพราะว่าการที่เราทำแบบนั้นมันก็จะยิ่งทำให้ดูเหมือนหลอกคนอ่านอะเนอะ คือจริงๆ แก้วว่าการที่เราซื่อสัตย์ต่อแฟนๆ หรือคนอ่านคือสิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดในการเขียนบล็อกเพราะว่า 1) เราจริงใจต่อคนอ่าน 2) มันทำให้รู้สึกว่าสินค้านั้นๆไม่ได้ฟังแล้วดูแบบเพอร์เฟคมากๆ จนเว่อร์เกินไป แต่บางทีการที่ได้รับเงินมาให้เขียนสินค้านั่นก็ต้องเป็นสิ่งที่ระวังเพราะถ้าเราเขียนชมแบรนด์มากจนเกินไปคนที่อ่านก็จะรู้สึกแหละว่าสิ่งที่เราเขียนมันดูหลอกเกินไปรึปล่าว แล้วถ้าเกิดคนอ่านคิดว่าสิ่งที่เราเขียนดูชมแบรนด์มากเกินจนไม่เชื่อสิ่งที่เราเขียนอีกต่อไปหละ? มันเสียความรู้สึกและเสียแฟนไปได้นะ
